Hormonal Balance
Maintaining a proper hormone balance is essential not just to your reproductive system, but to your overall health. Many of your hormones like estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA (adrenal hormone), and cortisol (stress hormone) can easily shift out of balance from a variety of factors. Some of these factors include: stress, unhealthy diet, synthetic hormone replacement therapy, birth control pills, and exposure to chemical estrogens from cosmetics, shampoos, and hormone treated meat and dairy products.

TESTING:
The first step in identifying and correcting these imbalances is hormone testing. Accurate testing takes the guesswork out of the process, and allows us to precisely target the hormones that need support. Hormones that are below or above ideal levels could throw the entire body out of balance and cause a laundry list of symptoms including:

  • Acceleration of the aging process
  • Allergies
  • Anxiety
  • Autoimmune Disorders
  • Breast Cancer
  • Decreased Sex Drive
  • Depression
  • Fat Gain, (Especially Around The Abdomen, Hips and Thighs)
  • Fatigue
  • Fibrocystic Breasts
  • Foggy Thinking
  • Gallstones
  • Hair Loss
  • Headaches
  • Hypoglycemia (Low Blood Sugar)
  • Increased Stroke Risk From Blood Clots
  • Infertility
  • Insomnia
  • Irritability
  • Memory Loss
  • Migraines (Especially Premenstrual)
  • Miscarriage
  • Osteoporosis
  • PMS
  • Thyroid Dysfunction
  • Uterine Cancer
  • Uterine Fibroids
  • Water Retention And Bloating

If any of these symptoms sound familiar, it may be time to check your hormone levels.

TREATMENT:
Once your particular hormone imbalances are identified, the next step is treatment. We will discuss your options and create a treatment plan that is best for you. The goal is to return your hormones to normal, physiological levels. Only natural medications and bio-identical hormones are used to correct hormone imbalances. We never use synthetic hormones or drugs in our practice, so you can feel comfortable that your treatment will be not only effective, but safe.
